Hi Dorothy... no longer True! Results of a study published in the June 1997 in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition showed that bone thinning wasn't more likely in women who drank coffee than in those who didnt drink coffee...meaning the notion that coffee is harmful to the bones has been debunked! Just make sure to take enough calcium and make sure you have seen a specialist to determine if you need medications to prevent osteoporosis esp after menopause. Another good news to you!

Agree Max... we have been enjoying the coffee we love without thinking about its potential benefits. So the benefits are a PLUS!
